Ako Amegah has over 30 years’ experience in Capital Projects Development, Project Management, Plant Operations and Maintenance with specialization in Rotating Equipment and Reliability Engineering in the Oil & Petrochemical Industry. He has had considerable exposure to multi-national capital projects management and execution in North America, Southeast Asia, the Arabian Gulf and West Africa. He started his career as a Rotating Equipment Engineer at Amoco Oil Company in the USA, and later on as the Maintenance & Reliability Manager at Premcor Refining Group, USA. He also worked as Senior Reliability Engineer at Citgo Petroleum Company (PDVSA), USA. Prior to joining MODEC Ghana, he spent 10 years as a Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer at Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia. He is currently Head of the Maintenance & Reliability Department at MODEC Production Services Ghana JV Ltd.

Prior to joining the Oil & Gas industry, he worked in the Shipbuilding Industry after completing his Master’s degree (MSc.) in Naval architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He also holds an (MBA) in Finance, Business Strategy and Accounting from Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, USA as well as Master of Science in Engineering (MEng) from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA with specialization in Offshore Engineering. He is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) as well as a certified Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt.
