Manager Risk, Assurance and Compliance - Petroleum Commission

Anita Lokko is Manager Risk, Assurance and Compliance at the Petroleum Commission, Ghana, the upstream petroleum regulator in Ghana. Her current role includes coordinating the identification, evaluation and treatment of risks associated with operations of the Commission as well as risks within the upstream sector in Ghana. She is also responsible for a team that reviews cases relating to noncompliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, guidelines and best practices by entities operating within the upstream petroleum sector. Prior to this, Ms. Lokko worked for almost a decade at the Ministry of Energy, Ghana where she held different positions in the Legal Directorate of the Ministry. Her experience includes negotiating petroleum related contracts and agreements and working with a wide range of stakeholders including the Executive, Parliament, international development agencies and international investors. She is a lawyer by profession and holds an LLB from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Exeter, UK.
