Foster Damoah Boateng

Geoscientist -PGS Ghana

Foster Damoah Boateng is a Geoscientist with PGS Ghana. Foster has recently completed the interpretation of PGS MegaSurvey and MultiClient data from Côte d'Ivoire to the Ghana section of the West Africa transform margin. The project comprised a total of 57,941 square km of 3D and 48,743 line km of 2D MegaSurvey data. Foster played a leading interpretation role in the Ghana MegaSurvey project and has contributed to new 3D data acquisition projects offshore Ghana. Using the MegaSurvey data, Foster communicates the Basin-wide geological perspective (The BIG Picture) as well as field-scale opportunities within this regional framework to exploration companies. Over the years, Foster has discussed the offshore Ghana exploration potential, energy transition and Carbon Capture, Use and Storage in seminars with the University of Ghana and Reginal Maritime University. He holds a BSc in Earth Sciences from the University of Ghana, Legon, and an MSc in Petroleum Geosciences from the Institute of French Petroleum (IFP-School, France).
