Executive Director of Whitestone Shipbrokers Ghana Limited

Gertrude Adwoa Ohene-Asienim (FICS) is the Executive Director of Whitestone Shipbrokers Ghana Limited. Gertrude is a Chartered Shipbroker, Lecturer and Maritime Consultant with over twenty years’ combined experience in Shipping, Oil & Gas, and academia. She is currently the Global Membership Committee Chairperson, a member of the Controlling & Executive Councils, (the defector Board), an Assessor and Assistant examiner of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS), London and a Part - Time Lecturer at the Regional Maritime University, Accra. Gertrude had previously worked as Country Manager with PGS Ghana, Yinson Gazania Operations, OMA Labour & Procurement Solutions and Offshore Shipbrokers. Combining her industry experience with academia, she has gained experience in various disciplines in the areas of Shipbroking, Seismic Acquisition, FPSO Maintenance & Operations, and Subsea Project Management with vast experience in formation and operations of joint venture companies.

 

Her passion for capacity building and training has led her to facilitate in workshops in areas including but not limited to Maritime Law, International Trade Transactions, Marine Insurance, Oil & Gas, and Shipping.

She holds a Master of Laws degree in Maritime Law from the University of Oslo, Norway. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London, UK.
