Baluri Kassim Bukari

Mr. Baluri Kassim Bukari is a Senior Manager at Eni Ghana Exploration and Production Limited who oversees Local Content, Sustainability and External Relations. He handles project engagements with the government, local communities and relevant institutions to the realization of the company’s objectives and plays a key role in the development of the $7billion Offshore Cape Three Point integrated Oil and Gas project situated in the Western Region. An accomplished energy expert and finance professional with in-depth knowledge of the energy value chain in Oil and Gas, Mr. Baluri joined Eni in 2015 after previously working for Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), West African Pipeline Gas Company and Ghana National Gas Company. Allied to his finance background as a chartered accountant, he holds an MBA in Global Energy and an MSc in Telecommunications Management from the University of Calgary and the University of Strathclyde respectively.

Achievements.
In 2017, Mr. Baluri was awarded the “Oil & Gas Personality of the year” for the upstream sector.
As a member of the Senior Management of Eni Ghana, he played a significant contribution in the signing of the MoU with the Government of Ghana and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where Ghana had been chosen as the front-runner of the nine African countries selected to benefit from collaborative projects from the United Nations Development Programme, (UNDP) aimed at improving access to sustainable energy.
Mr. Baluri has been instrumental in the delivery of Gas from the Sankofa field (27th of July 2018), earlier than the projected time, producing a guaranteed, stable and reliable gas volume of 180 mmscfd. The OCTP Gas contributes significantly to Ghana’s energy stability, which is a prerequisite for industrial and economic growth, while at the same time helping reduce harmful emissions.
Through his effort, Ghana will save over $300million in the energy sector every year.
