Victor Kofi Sunu-Attah

Victor Kofi Sunu-Attah is the General Manager for the Engineering Division of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and specializes in the planning and directing all aspects of engineering activities and projects within GNPC. Mr. Sunu-Attah has successfully developed, planned, and coordinated various high-value projects. He has 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (E&P). He has occupied multiple positions in the industry spanning reservoir engineering, field evaluation and development, marketing, project management disciplines, and team development, successfully leading them to implement mega projects within the industry and the energy sector. He has been on projects such as the Tano Fields development and power project in the 1990s, the Jubilee Field, TEN, and Gye Nyame/Sankofa. Most recently, he also played a key role in developing the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project, the natural gas market in Ghana, and the ongoing deep-water Pecan field. He also played a leading role in the interconnection of Ghana’s gas infrastructure in the Western Region of Ghana to the Eastern market in Tema via the West African Gas Pipeline.

Mr. Sunu-Attah played a leading role in setting up the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) and the development and successful implementation of the US$750 million Western Corridor Gas Infrastructure Development Project in the Western Region of Ghana.

These projects and many others have equipped him with unique skills to develop and lead teams for successfully implementing and executing challenging petroleum and other energy-related projects in Ghana and the sub-region.

He is one of the few technical professionals who have seen the development of Ghana’s oil and gas industry from inception to date, and consequently, he possesses indispensable institutional knowledge.

He holds an EMBA in Project Management, an MSc. in Petroleum Engineering, and a BSc. in Chemical Engineering.
